It is expressed in prostate and detected in other organs at low levels, these include the heart and various tissues of the urogenital tract; not detected in mammary gland. Function: May regulate TLP1 expression and telomerase activity, thus enabling certain prostatic cells to resist apoptosis Subcellular Location: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Golgi apparatus membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Endosome membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Tissue Specificity: Widely expressed with highest levels in heart, kidney and placenta. Post-translational modifications: Highly N-glycosylated and O-glycosylated.
