background: CXCL16 acts as a scavenger receptor on macrophages, which specifically binds to OxLDL (oxidized low density lipoprotein), suggesting that it may be involved in pathophysiology such as atherogenesis. It induces a strong chemotactic response and calcium mobilization. It binds to CXCR6/Bonzo. Subcellular Location: Cell membrane. Secreted. Also exists as a soluble form. Tissue Specificity: Expressed in T-cell areas. Expressed in spleen, lymph nodes, lung, kidney, small intestine and thymus. Weak expression in heart and liver and no expression in brain and bone marrow. Similarity: Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family. Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (Rat colon); Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30min; Incubation: Anti-CXCL16 Antibody, conjugated (bs-1441R-BF488) at 1:100 overnight at 4°C; DAPI (5ug/ml, blue, C-0033) was used to stain the cell nuclei.
